A really special event for us: CL delighted to be guests of iGuzzini at Frankfurt Light and Building to launch our Social Lightscapes Workshops publication. This culminates our three year partnership with iGuzzini: a programme of international workshops to explore dialogues between social research and lighting design.
Free to download here – the book provides an accessible guide to the social research in design approach, accounts of our workshops and detailed guides to doing workshops for professionals or students.
This has been one of our most productive and innovative projects, and allowed us to engage with lighting professionals and students on a global scale. There is so much we will take forward from the Social Lightscapes series into our ever-expanding Configuring Light activities. And we thank our many participants and partners for all their hard and intensive work to make these workshops happen! We were also seriously impressed by the response of journalists and others at the press conference: we were able to have a serious and searching conversation, with excellent and informed questions. Clearly, this work touches a real nerve and a real need.
